Recently I've add the gravatar plugin to my blog, it add own main menu to the admin panel, but when I try to click, nothing come up.

When I deactivate the admin menu, I notice that the gavatar is only single page menu, unlike any other plugin that add itself as main menu with sub menu pages.

I'm sorry, not my intension to confuse you…

I'm currently using admin menu 2.5.2 in wp 2.5, and as exactly
what I describe on this thread start is what I'm experience (gravatar
menu would not open).

As for reply in another thread is another problrem that I
experience ( same configuration admin menu and wp) on firestats (I
thought I just reply existing thread instead making the new one).

OK. This one I CAN replicate. However, the author of the Gravatar plugin should not really be defining the menu the way they have. There is no rule as such, but WP guidelines discourage using a top level menu when there are no sub-menu items.

I might be able to support it but really it should be changed. I'll take a closer look when I can.

I have taken a closer look and to be honest, while I can see that t works, the menu command in this plugin not only breaks the WP guidelines but is also malformed. I am not going to be able to support it. Sorry. I would recommend that the author corrects the mnu however.
