This is conflicting with users being able to access certain plugins. For instance, the NextGen Gallery (via the role manager) lets users access certain parts of the plugin (like adding a gallery or managing one) but not letting them get to options and settings. But with this drop down plugin enabled, blocking access to the overview page effectively removes the link altogether. Same for the cForms II  plugin - I only want the user to view tracking of their forms, but not manage them. But again, instead of seeing the links to cForm II to get to the tracking, it simply removes the link altogether.
