(Oops, wasn’t logged in. Admin, feel free to delete that previous post)
For whatever reason, after installation, I have no menu at all.
Any thoughts?

Do you have javascript enabled?

Yes, using FF 2.0.0.6, verified that JS is enabled. Also tried on IE 7 and same behavior exists.

In that case it’s going to almost certainly be a clash with another plugin and one that has a javascript component and runs at window load time.
You could try deactivating them one by one or you might be able to identify which ones have a javascript file and might be the cause and just deactivate that. If we know which one it is I may be able to offer a workaround…

Ahh, excellent. Ok, I deactivated them one at a time and found it to be External Links. My installed version is 2.2. There’s a 2.9 out, so I’ll try that one first and let you know.
Thanks for your excellent support. And I love your integrated forums. These are great!

Yep, sure enough. Upgraded to EL 2.10 and now your plugin works just fine.
Awesome plugin!
Say, on an unrelated note, how are you getting the WYSIWYG editor in these comment boxes?

First off it’s nice when a simple plugin upgrade solves the problem. Usually I end up instaling it myself and spending hours looking for the clash. So this is good news.
This is just the TinyMCE editor - the same one the WP uses for its rte write post option. So - do you mean how do I get it on this forum - or how do I get it in the comments on my blog? In this forum it is hard-coded in. In the comments on my blog it is a plugin.

I’ve hijacked my own thread, haven’t I?
What plugin do you use for your blog comments box?

Hi,
I have the same problem but i did try to deactivate all plugins & still no text just icons.
in FF it works fine but in avant& Ie7 it’s not.
i think that because avant is based on Ie7 it has its flaws also.
what is wrong, can it be fixed?
Best Regards.

It works on my IE7 testbed so I can’t really answer that. Still usually comes down to a JS clash usually through a plugin. if that’s not the problem then I really don’t have any other answers. Many, many people use it with IE7…

In the js error it tells me - ‘ToolMan’ is undefined
if it helps to solve the problem.
I will also try to log in another computer & see if the problem is there & if its ok than the problem is in my comp.

Well, whatever is the cause, ‘ToolMan’ is nothing to do with the menu plugin and I have never heard of it so do not know what it is. Sounds like it belongs to another plugin of some sort…
Out of interest can I ask why you are wrapping your posts on this thread in divs?

I have tried to log from my friends computer that has IE7 & also the same problem.
I even tried to disable all the plugins & activate just the advance menu but no luck.

Did you read my previous answer?
Logging in through a different computer is not going to change anything that gets returned by the server.
Whatever ‘toolman’ is it’s not part of my plugin.
And you are still wrapping your posts in divs.

yes i have read it.
I also seen that the toolman is not connected to your plugin & i have fixed it.
i have unactivated all plugin & activated just the advance menu but the problem was still there, at my comp & at my friend comp that IE7 is installed there.
about the div in the post - do you mean in the post here?
I use the post reply button & write regular without doing something special.

I have found the problem.
I have used the plugin but also used another css that’s RTL for the hebrew text so today I tried to delete all of it & just use your plugin clean.
and it worked.
so the problem was in the RTL css.
can you make an RTL version or tell me what line of code to change?
Best Regards.

I know of someone who has created an RTL version for Hebrew and they were planning to allow me to put it up for download but they have not come back to me. I will make contact with them and let you now.
I’d like to ask again please how you are posting entries into this forum? Entering text directly into this edit box does NOT place ‘divs’ around every paragraph and they are somewhat annoying (plus I keep having to get rid of them).

I hope that the hebrew version is not from where i got my problematic one.
about the div - now I’m writing from firefox.
are you still getting the div thing?
p.s.
i tried to look in the html in this post reply & saw that here there’s no divs but in the avant browser that is baset on explorer there is a div that you were talking about.
(i do not know why is that)

I have just in the last 15 minutes got the name of the person who has created the RTL for the menus. I will conrtact them after this post.
I have never looked at the Avant browser but I am surorised that the editor would behave differently. Curious. Thanks for the info.
I will pass your email address on…
