Hi andy, will this plugin work with the forum plugin? ie will I be able to have a forum for member downloads and be able to track the numbers?

I’m not really sure what you are asking for here. Are you asking about outting the download post tag into forum posts? If so then as it is currently set up then no, that wont work but it may be quite a small tweak.

Yes, I want to create a forum group for members only, then create posts with downloads in, and output the amount of times it’s been downloaded etc
|

No - not possible at the moment. It’s easy to get the tag to work with a one line filter but the editor and the post save text processing will not preserve the html comments. I would need to write a different format for the tag.

No worries, I suppose I can post them on a WP page and link to that page from the members only forum. If I made the page a private one it would force people to log in to view it.
Luckilly the forum integrates with the WP user database :)
