red crosses & 404 error (wrong path?)

Hi andy,

I saw that you replied on my last
question. Hmm… I don't know why I didn't look back, sorry! I was very
busy that time, but anyway. The new version fixed my old bug. I updated
to the new 1.1 version and to WP 2.5.1. Now I have a new bug: I always get red crosses and 404 when trying the provided link. As paths I have:

php-path: http://www.commeare.net/download-counter.php

Full path: http://www.commeare.net/wp-content/uploads/

I guess the last path is wrong, but I don't really know what the real (full)
path is. I am on one of these hosted and shared by 100 other people
server. So my home directory that I see when entering my ftp is the
wordpress root itself, so full path would be

/home/wp-content/uploads

but that wouldn't work either. I never get a green cross.

Maybe I am to dump, sorry! But I hope you can help me!

A big thanks in advance!

It should have set the 'Full path to download file folder' when you installed it. I have to say that just /home/ doesn't sound right.

if you have access to cpanel on your host this will display the correct path (mine displays it near the top).

Linux boxes often use something like: /home/your_unique_name/public_html/… etc.

Thanks andy, its working now!! For all those having a similar problem: For me my path at all-inkl.com was

/www/htdocs/LOGIN/wp-content/uploads (<- LOGIN to be substituted)

The 404-error came because I wrote download-counter.php instead of download-manager.php, although I don't know why, I can't remember writing the filename myself.

Anyway, its working great now! Thanks for this wonderful plugin!!
