Support Forum : File is missing

In preparation for the release of the first beta of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.


Version 3.1.4 will still be available for download here in the short term.

Hi Andy,

I use "Download Counters Lite" and it works fine, but when the files to be downloaded are not stored on the same domain than the blog, they are marked "missing".

However the counters do keep track of the number of downloads.

Is it a bug ?

To be honest I have never tried using this to downoad remote files although I seem to recall a user saying they had success with it. You do need to make sure the path to the file is totaly accurate though. Look for the ‘tick’…

As you can see, the link doesn’t work (http://www.stuff.yellowswordfish.dev !) even if I change ".dev" to ".com".
Another point is that …there is no new post !

My apologies. It’s happened before. This came from a loal developmemnt system using a copy of the live database where I was entering a test post. I forgot to turn subscriptions off! I have done that now.

A happy new year to you also. I’ll try and remember to do the above in future!
