Hello — I am wanting to use this plugin on a church site where they are offering weekly audio for download.  The extensions are mp3, mostly.  When clicking on the link you are directed to the mp3 file in a Quicktime page where it plays.  However, when right-clicking and then clicking to save, it wants you to download download_counter.php.

I would be greatly appreciative should you know how to fix this.  Thank you!

There was no solution in the email. Later research showed that it is quite possible to download MP3 and video files but (1) any file associated with a browser plugin will play by default and (2) the download plugin requires some major change to allow downloads of these files. There are some extra details needed (like the exact size of the file being targetted).

It’s just off until I can find the time to make the necessary changes to the code and the structure in a way that maintans it’s current simplicty.
