Thanks for a great plugin!

The only issue I am having with it is when I add a new link to the download counter and place the following tag: <?php echo (dc_get_count(xx)); ?> in a post I get an automatic 5 hits. How can I have it so that it the hit count starts at zero? (I already have it set at zero in the 'Create/Edit Download Counters options)

Well both the tags and the admin page get the count from the same place - the database. But.. you can't use the php tag in a POST. (Is the (xx) 5 by any chance)? That's a template tag.

In a post you need to use the post tag (downloads in html comments) - see the read me file with the plugin.

is this your problem?
