Support Forum : New categories not updated in plugin

In preparation for the release of the first beta of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.


Version 3.1.4 will still be available for download here in the short term.

Hi,

I’m using the Page Category Plus plugin since a couple of months and i’m very satisfied with it. Now the New Year brought me to add some new categories in Wordpress. But these are not shown in Page Category Plus. It seems that the plugin isn’t able to update itself when changes in WP categories occur. Is there a possibility to tell the plugin to re-initialize the Wordpress categories?

It works for me. I just created a new cateogry and it is listed in the Write > Page screen category list. Are you saying this does not happen for you?

Or - if you mean you don’t see the new category in the PCP admin  page then that is just because you haven’t used it on any pages yet.

Hi,

thanks a lot for your answer. There was one detail missing: I added the new categories, but they were empty. After reading your post, I created the first page to be placed in one of these categories and now the new category is listed in the PCP admin page.

So now it works fine.
