I’m new to WP and have downloaded and activated PCP. I can go to the Page Category Plus tab under "manage" but when I try to select a category from the drop down menu there are no choices. I’ve already tried to re-install the plugin. What should I do?

have you defined any categories and attached pages to them? The list in management will only show catergories that have been used.

What do you mean by “define the categories.” I have post that are assigned to a category and I’m using the redirectify plug-in to make pages show only specified categories. Where would I attach pages to a category? With page category plus or somewhere else first? Thanks!

Do you realise fully that this plugin is for assigning categories to WP PAGES. NOT POSTS?
It allows you to assign categpries to ‘Pages’ in exactly the same was as you currently assign them to ‘Posts’.
It sounds to me like this is NOT a plugin you need as I think you are confusing ‘pages of posts’ with a WP PAGE… which you write uysing the ‘Write > Page’ menu option.

Let me back up for a second and just explain what I’m hoping PCP can do, because as you said maybe it’s not the right plugin for me. I have a WP blog for the small group ministry at my church. sonrisesmallgroups.org
I want to be able to make posts for Leaders that will only show up on the Group Leaders page but not the home page. The category visibility plugin makes this possible but I wondered if there was a better solution by using PCP??? Thanks so much for your help!

No it wont. As I said you are confuding posts with pages. You are working with posts and this plugin is noithing to do with posts.
