Does anyone know if this is possible? I realise it isn’t strictly related to the plugin itself, but it is possible to get Windows Live Writer to enable categories for the pages like it does for posts?

Good question. I guess the first thing to ask (as I don’t use it) is does WLW allow you to create ‘pages’?

if it does then the answer to your question may depend on how rigorous the code is. If it knows that pages are bnot suposed to have categories then it probably wont do it. If it doesn’t know that then it might well do it as the categories are the same as for posts. Why not just give it a try?

Yes, WLW allows you to create pages. It even allows you to set certain settings such as "parent pages" and has tagging support. When you make a post you can select a category, but not when you create a page, I am guessing since the option is not available in wordpress by default.

I will see and figure out if it is codable to include a category for the pages in WLW, but I have no prior experience with the program except for default wordpress blogs.
