I am using WP as CMS. So I use Pages more often to create static pages. When the number of pages increase, it is not readable.

I wanted to know if there is a plugin that will help me organize these pages under some categories and topics. I see your homepage has something like the following:

WP Plugins

plugin 1
plugin 2
plugin 3

Articles

article 1
article 2
article 3

I want to oraganize my WP Pages into something similar. For example, I want my sidebar to look like the following:

Home Mortgage

link to home mortgage article 1

link to home mortgage article 2

link to home mortgage article 3

Home Equity

link to home Equity article 1

link to home Equity article 2

link to home Equity article 3

Resources

Link to resource 1

Link to resource 2

Link to resource 3

Is it possible to do that? Is there a plugin for this?

Thanks

I use my own 'Page Category Plus' plugin (see plugin pages if you are interested) which allows me to place pages in categories just like posts. I believe there are other plugins that may help as well that utilise the parent/child page relationship that is possible.

I used the parent-child feature but this just puts a single line between various main topics but I cannot put a title for the main topic.

Also, the URLs are not optimal for SEO. For ex. if the parent page is Mortgage Plans, then all the child pages URLs will have an additional parent page URL plus the child page URL. I hope I am explaining this alright J.

Please see the URL below. …/ calculator-for-mortgage-payment/ is the child page URL but there an additional parent page URL attached to this. I want the page URL to be the homepage_URL/child_page_URL. Here’s an example of the complete URL of the child page

http://www.home-loan-mortgage-net.com/loan-mortgage-and-mortgage-plan/calculator-for-mortgage-payment/

Any suggestions?

Yes same as before. Take a look at my Page Category Plus plugin

And do you know why your post above is formatted differently? Different font etc?

Thanks.

I tried registering last night to this forum. I did not get a response. I am using the same email that I am using as a guest. Anyway, I'll tonight if I received an email. I will start using the plugin and see now it goes…

The reason the font is different is because I used MS Word to do spell check and there the default font is Times New Roman.

Word! Ah. That exlains why it is about 5 times longer than it need be and full of embedded and unneeded formatting. There is a spell check on this editors toolbar…..
