Support Forum : Paged navigation for wordpress pages (not posts) ?

In preparation for the release of the first beta of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.

Thanks for the terrific plugin.

By the way how do I get it work with pages too?I have huge no. of pages in my wordpress blog (or cms?) apart from posts.

Sadly you can’t - at least at the moment.

The problem is really with WP. It doesn’t support the concept of ‘page navigation’ at all. Pages are really just a badly thought out ‘bolt-on’ that, to date, have not received the attention thay deserve. 

It could be done but would require rather a lot of extra coding I fear to build the ‘engine’.

Having said that, there are some useful plugins out there that might help. For example (and sorry, I can’t find a link at the moment) the ‘in-series’ plugin (originally from Skippy but now taken over by others) is really very good at linking pages togther and giving navigation tags you can set up.

Thanks for the reply. I checked out the ‘in-series’ plugin but its mainly meant for posts that have "continued from last…" and "to be continued.." or in other words posts that are connected so closely with each other and are ‘in-series’. Do correct me if I am wrong.

No - you are right but at least  as far as I remember from the original version, you could set up next/previous type navigation. You had to use the custom fields though.
