Tooltip over paged navigation?

Hi

First let me thank you for this plugin. It has made working with Wordpress so much easier and nicer!

I'm using Wordpress as a CMS. This is the site: http://www.noukiesims2.net

Now I have a little problem. Alot of people, when they link to posts, don't link to the permalink but to the page number. And the page numbers ofcourse change everytime I post something else.

I'd like to warn people when they hover their mouse over the paged navigation, that they should not link to the page number, but to the permalink. I'd like to do that with a tooltip that appears over the paged navigation when they hover over it. Inside would be a warning like: “If you link to a download/post, don't link to the page number, link to the permanent link!!”

Do you know how to implement this?

Thanks very much :)

How odd that people should do that.

Well you could edit the code. Fibd the functions pn_next() and pn_previous and inside those you will find the <a> tags for the page links. All you need to do is add a title. So, for example, this line (that starts):

<a class=”pagelink”

add a title into it:

<a class=”pagelink” title=”what ever you want it to say”

That'll work.

Hi again,

I can't find the function in my current theme, or in the original wordpress themes… in what document should it normally be? functions.php, right?

I'll search for documentation on creating these on wordpress.com while I wait :)

No - I was referring to the plugin file itself - page-navigation.php
