I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Plugin is loaded and appears to work. When I check Send Update Emails box on Page edit page, then save, the selection is not saved and I do not get the info to the page.

I am a WP user, not much of a hacker.

Can you explain what you mean by ‘the selection is not saved and I do not get the info to the page’?

What ’selection’ and what ‘info’ please?

Right column of page edit, there is a selection for Send Notification with a check box labeled Send Update Emails. My assumption is I check this box to include the option on the viewed page. If I check the box it does not stay checked when I save the page.

My over riding question is how do I get the Post/Page Notification subscription to show on my pages?

Thanks

The box does not remain checked. That is the point really. You check it when you make an update to the page and WANT to send out notifications to those subscribed to it. I don’t know about you but when I make a page update I often do a "Save and Continue Editing’ and look at it in preview mode. I might do that a few times to ensure I have things right. If notifications were on, then it would send emails out every tme you saved the page. The idea is that you make the choice to send out the emails, when and as you are ready to do so.

If by your second question you are aqsking how the ’subscribe’ form gets onto the page in the first place then as it says in the readme text file that came with the plugin you type in:

<!–punmail–>

at whatever point in the page you want the form to appear.

Does that cover it?
