Thanks to Andy for finally helping me get punmail working correctly with my database. How I would like for this to work is to have a form on the sidebar that ONLY sends out emails when new posts are posted. Not when just a certain page is updated. Is this possible? An example of what it would look like is here.

Sorry no - well not without re-writing it anyway. This is, as it says, strictly for pages. A little specialised in that way.

There are plugins that will do what you want - I've seen them listed (I feel sure) here at the WP plugins database.

Oh ok I see what you mean.


Ive tried some of those plugins and most of them are bloated and really old. It seems like this would be a default property of wordpress since rss is so important to them. I guess its time to use rss for everything?
