Mostly I want to commend you on an easy upgrade path…
I was running Simple Forum 1.9 on http://www.speakoutwireless.ca when a PHP memory limit problem forced me to upgrade to 2.1. I was a bit hesitant to upgrade as I thought it’d cause a few incompatibility problems. But all I did was unzip, deactivate, reactive and poof, everything works!
Oh, and http://www.speakoutwireless.ca is a site dedicated to a pay-as-you-go cell phone service in Canada. The company behind the service has a really crappy site, so this site helps consumers to share experiences about the service with each other. It’s been quite a success

I almost forgot… I also use Simple Forum on my blog at http://www.theblog.ca, mostly to support my anti-spam plugin:

The regular comments system and threaded comment plugins just didn’t quite do the trick as support comments got really messy. It’s much easier to organize support requests in the forum.

I originally started it because comments couldn’t cope with support queries. Glad you find it useful.
Is that Rogers (or is it Rodgers?) you’re talking about? My trips to Canada and trying to get my mobile working has been a dead loss so I’m not much impressed with their service either

Actually it’s a service by the 7-Eleven convenience store, but it runs on the Rogers network footprint. Surprisingly, people are generally happy with the customer service on the Speak Out service. It’s the lack of public information that prompted me to create the site… so it’s not so much a "we hate them" site but a "hey, how can you do this" site.
In Canada, people aren’t happy with the major wireless carriers, especially Rogers and Telus…
