I'd like to be able to display only something like:

<Group 1 name> - <Group 1 description>

Forums: <Group 1 Forum 1 name>, <Group 1 Forum 2 name>…

<Group 2 name> - <Group 2 description>…

——————————————————

Instead of:

| Group Name (Group description)

—

| Forums

—-

| Forum name (Forum description)

___________________________

Then have the Group Name something that can be clicked on to show the

Forum list on its own page….. or have the table drop down for display.

I'm trying to figure out how to keep the Forum home page from taking

so many pages.

Is this something I can do in the CSS on my own?

Those routines are not pluggable…  In order to do what you want, you would have to modify the sf_render_page() and sf_render_group() functions in the sf-page.php file…
