Activate, go to the new 'Forum' menu and install. Set up your options - or at least review the defaults - set up your groups and forums. What else do you need? A lot fo stuff is covered in the online help menu option.

That's two easy questions.

1) Add Topics from the back end, NO, BUT it is simple as anything to go to your own forum and start a new thread where you want it.

2) Integrate a blog post as the start of a new thread, YES. review the section of the online help regarding Cross Posting.

Again - look through the on-line help - there is a section on using feedbuner. And registrations and logins are completely integrated with WP.

In the admin options, the links tab, you can set a few options…

when writing a wp post, look for the blog linking stuff in wp 2.5+ near the bottom or in wp 2.4- on the right hand side…

you select a forum where you want the blog linked topic created…

and for what its worth, its not detailed in the online help (yet)
