In preparation for the release of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.

Version 3.1.4 will still be available for download here in the short term.

As verified in another post,

this Forum can easily co-operate with two very good plugin from alex Rabe. Infact, if you're using any of these plugins(nggallery , wordtube) on your wordpress you can immediately verify that writing [GALLERY=XX] inside a Forum post makes the nggallery with ID = XX appear in post.

This feature is VERY useful to me, but I guess that for my users it is to difficult to find the appropriate ID and use correct sintax (they may not be tech heads), so I was wondering how difficult it is to put the two buttons and on the Forum's editor.

These two icons greatly simplify images/galleries/media insertion and I would like to have them not only on WP's article editor, but on forum's editor too.

The question is moved to Alex Rabe because He should already know how to add icons on wysiwyg editor but I posted it here since the Forum should be affected on first instance.

Thank you,

Alessandro

if these are special TinyMCE extensions then yes.. I would need to know where they came from and be given the code. Then it could be considered.

Alessandro,

I think this should be possible. Andy updated already to TinyMCE V3 and I prepared the TinyMCE plugin for WP2.5.

Currently I'm preparing Simple Press 3 for my narrow theme, so it will takes some more time until I can have a deeper look for this. (And must redesign my plugins for the horrible new style of WP2.5 )

The ini file for TinyMCE is extracted into it's own code file so while I have not provided direct tools for adding plugins it's not actualy that hard to do as it just touches the one file. Well, theoretically!

So do you think I could add those two button by myself ? I'm not scared of dipping into code, but I think that Alex will do a better work with less efforts. Otherwise please tell me where to start from

Thank you, as always

I will provide a simple way of doing this from the Admin panels but not now in 3.0 as it is closed for anything new.

The TinyMCE 'init' routine is in it's own file in the TinyMCE folder. Plugin files are also in the standard place for TinyMCE. As I do not know what files Alex uses and needs to add you might be best off talkign to him. He is also receiving betas of 3.0
