I know I can link both ways but can one do that only when first posting or can I make the link later?

I.e. one of my users didn't know he could link, so he just wrote a forum topic. I now would love to link this forum topic to a blog post, while the blog post should only contain an excerpt of the topic, ending with the words: read more and discuss this in the forum…

Is it possible to link an already existing forum topic to a new blog post?

Or woudl I have to write the forum post again and do the linking? But then I can't make this forum post under his name or I did not find that option.

When creating a blog post from a new forum topic you can only apply the linkng at the time the topic was created. But - I can add this request to the enhancement ticket we have for the future.

When creating a forum topic from a blog post however, it is possible to add the linking on a subsequent blog post edit.

thx, that would be nice.

Also what about writing a forum topic and chosing the author, just like in the blog? Would be nice to be able to do that, at least as the admin… Thus I could avoid this problem now, by reporting the forum topic under that user's name.
