Once again it’s a bit quick but a reported security problem and some much needed bug fixes have made the release of another update necessary. This is a recommended upgrade for all users of any version 3 forum plugin.
Regarding the security scare - we believe we have covered this but research will continue. If we find a little more work is needed then we will release a small upgrade (files only) in due course.
Several of the more annoying bugs have been fixed, notably the error log filling with errors resulting from RSS feeds and the ‘fatal error’ when someone got the math wrong on a new registration!
And for all those users out there of the ‘All In One SEO Pack’ you will be pleased to know that we now support it’s ‘page title’ setting for the browser title bar.
Hopefully this version will prove stable and we can now move on to some exciting new development for a future 3.2!

In the All In One SEO Pack. All we are doing is modfying the title parameter to include the forum or topic name as well as the page title.

You don't have to do anything. If you are using the All In One SEO Pack (which is, I believe, the most popular WP plugin at the moment) then you will already have your 'page title' set up. The forum just reads the format and add the gforum or topic into the mix, There is nothing to set up. Look above at the title bar on this site.

Thanks for staying on top of that, Andy! IMO it's much better not to wait when it comes to security issues, however slight.
On edit - were there any skin changes we should know about?

No - none at all. I try real hard not to add/change CSS/icons/text strings (for localisation) on point releases. And any changes will always be mentioned in the read me file.

Hello, I have a very strange problem.
Under the post which appears in Home I get another post with the inscription “Něco z historie: A Little Bit of History: Forum” and the linkage and the forum.
Can you help me?
Sorry for my English

Sorry for the post, I resolved, is the Archivist plugin that created this problem.
Thank you

Hello,
I installed the 3.1.2 plugin on Friday, and now Mac users of my forum (http://www.kontrasthlm.se/sf-forum) no longer can reply to threads.
Is this being fixed in 3.1.3?

Well as I don't know what your problem there is I can't answer that. If being unable to post using a Mac was a general problem then I wouldn't have been able to post this or use this forum for the past few weeks. So no - there is no 'general' problem with using Macs.
I can't test on your site because it requires registration and I would suspect you would prefer me not to do that.
Perhaps you'd like to start again with defining what the percieved problem actually is.. with some detail.

Thanks for a quick reply!
It is hard to line out what the problem is, but 5 users trying with both Safari (latest) and Firefox 3 are unable to start new topics and reply to already started threads. That's why I assumed it was a Mac problem…
I have created a test account for you in the forum, uID: yellowfish password: keep17simple so if you feel for it and have the time, maybe you can test.
We are using Wordpress 2.5.1 by the way. Thanks in advance!

I just made a test post here
This was using a Mac running Firefox 3. I really do not know f any reason your users should be unable to post but the next move would be to have one of them explain exactly what it is they do and see - error messages etc.
I would also recommend removing the account you set up for me. Can always be recreated if necessary and the login details are a little public!

Thanks a lot for doing the test! I have now deleted the user and will ask those who are still experiencing problems to make a step by step guide on what is failing, so that I, with your excellent service, can solve this.

Problem solved! We discovered that emptying the cache resolved the issue. Somehow the old version might have had a different javascript or something? Well anyway, thanks for helping out!

There you go! I usually remember to recommend that but not his time! And the Safari cache is, I believe, quite persistent.
