All,
just up'n'running with 3.0 - it's just great and faster than ever!
However, when posting with Mozialla 2.0, the popup for adding Emoticons or pictures remain emty?! IE does not show this behavior…
Any hint's? The help section does not refer to any tinyMCE editor issues or settings…
Thanks, appreciate your support!

No idea to be honest.
So - try this. Open up the Firefox Error Console (on the Tools Menu). And click on 'clear' to empty it. Try opening the Emoticons dialog and then see what (if anything) pops up in the error console. That might be a good place to start looking. Let me know if you get any trapped error.

Good idea! So, when I try to open the 'add picture' icon, the following errors popup:
- Error: tinyMCE.getWindowArg is not a function
found in: /simple-forum/tinymce/tiny_mce_popup.js Row: 53
- Error: tinyMCE.getParam is not a function
found in: /simple-forum/tinymce/utils/form_utils.js Row: 10
- FIREBUG WARNING: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) [nsIScriptableUnicodeConverter.ConvertToUnicode]” nsresult: “0×8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED)” location: “JS frame :: chrome://firebug/content/lib.js :: anonymous :: line 191″ data: no]
- Error: tinyMCEPopup.requireLangPack is not a function
found in: /simple-forum/tinymce/themes/advanced/js/image.js Row: 5
Errors, when clicking the smiley icon:
- Error: tinyMCE.getWindowArg is not a function
found in: /simple-forum/tinymce/tiny_mce_popup.js Row: 53
- Fehler: tinyMCEPopup.requireLangPack is not a function
found in /simple-forum/tinymce/plugins/emotions/js/emotions.js Row: 1
If you have an idea…pls let me know. I'll investigate what's wrong and keep it posted…

Are you very sure that you replaced the entire tinymce folder from the old 2.1 version?
These are non-replicable errors so my first suspicion is that not all the tinymce files are the correct ones.
So first suggestion is to destroy the tinymce folder and copy it up again from the forum package.

Yes, I'm sure! However, I just killed the whole folder and put the 3.0 files back on. No change…
BTW when I press the 'add picture' in the editor where I actually write this message, it work's, but it seem to be a older version of the tinyMCE, because I cannot upload any pictures which are not already on the server.
No clew, what's next

to your last point, thats a permissions thing… this forum does not allow you to upload images, so yes, they must already by on the web somewhere (ie you enter a url)… in spf, each forum admin will determine whether thats allowed or not…
have you cleared the browser cache?

Well it does allow you to upload images if you have permissions to do so…?
OK - TinyMCE. This is obviously a local problem to your setup so you need to take a close look at it. The obvious first question is - are any other plugins enabling TinyMCE? (Not including the WP write page/post in admin).
A second question would be, when you see the editor on your site does it look like this one (i.e., with the blue buttons)?
