This forum looks fantastic! Thank you so much for your hard work on it.
I have however, been experiencing an odd bug…
I’m running version 2.1 of Wordpress, and have installed the WP 2.1 version of Simple Forums 1.3, however, this is the result I get:

Please let me know what, if anything, I’m doing wrong… Mongo is confused.
Thanks again-
Jeff

I suppose I should also mention I’ve installed and uninstalled 3 times using different manual methods, but still nada.

Well nothings wrong as far as I can see except for the fact that you have put it in a WP post and not as a WP page and I don’t know how you managed that. What on earth did you do to get it like that please?

I promise, that is a page! At least it shows up like one in my WP admin.
It is in fact the default page created by the activation routine in Simple Forum.
Pretty weird huh?

I also just confirmed that the table in the DB was also marked to indicate this is a page and not a post under the post_type column, just because you made me paranoid.
Best-

Well - in that case it is one of the weirdest things I have seen in WP for a long time!
Do you have any other ‘pages’ and do they display correctly? I’m tempted to suspect the theme’s page.php as being at fault.

By the way - I didn’t realise King Crimson had made so many albums. Quite a surprise.

I’m starting to suspect the page.php as well… good idea! I’ll do some research, as other pages, I didn’t realize, are also being affected, presumably since the update.
Thanks to your plugin, I was able to discover this.
RE: KC, oh yes, the KC alumni have been remarkably busy, especially as of recent. Some very fun stuff coming down the pipe soon, which I heartily recommend. See http://www.dgmlive.com for some nifty downloads as well.
Thanks again-

I did a test and swapped themes and that definitely looks like the kulprit… I’m still at a loss. I sure hope someone else has seen this issue before, as I’ve not been able to find any discussion of this sort of issue in WP2.1

Well strictly speaking it’s not a WP issue. It’s up to the developer of the theme to sort it out and to be honest they’ve had a long time in which to do it as the gestation period for 2.1 was many months.
You really need to contact the theme author and bring it up with them. If it was working in 2.0 series then the bet is that it is something fairly simple but they need to address it. If you make something available for others you have a responsibility to support it (unless you tell them you wont right at the start!)
