Support Forum : 404 error on WP 2.1

In preparation for the release of the first beta of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.


Version 3.1.4 will still be available for download here in the short term.

I've installed Simple Forum as per the instructions but I receive an 404 error whenever I try to access the forums:

http://www.neutralhills.ca/sf-forum/

I've done the following:

  • Verified that I downloaded the correct version of SF for WP 2.1
  • Tried changing themes to see if it made a difference — no joy
  • Checked in PHPMyAdmin to see if the page is a page and not a post — it's a page

What I've noticed…

  • When I list pages under Manage, sf-forum shows as unpublished. When I look at the page itself, it shows as published
  • When I look at the page in PHPMyAdmin, the post_content field is empty

Any suggestions on this? The plugin looks lovely — I just wish I could get it to display is all. :-)

Got it working, but I'm not sure why it's working. I checked permalinks, but they were already set. I tried accessing the page by hitting…

…which brought up the forums. After that I've had no trouble with bringing the forums up using…

*shrug*

Anyhow, I'm close to having a skin done for the Vertigo Squared theme by Brian Gardner. I'll bundle it up with the new graphics and the modified stylesheet from the main theme for anyone who needs it in the future. 

Many thanks for the wonderful plugin.

Wow - that was quick!

I did wonder - if people did make their own skins etc., - if they wanted me to act as a central repository which I am quite happy to do. Also, I'll be looking for (or making) a small handful to travel with the plugin so when you're done I'd love to have a look at it.
