Support Forum : Accidently deleted the Page assigned to the forum!

In preparation for the release of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.


Version 3.1.4 will still be available for download here in the short term.

I've accidently deleted the Page assigned to the forum! Now i can't see the forum… can i get it back?

No, you probably can't get that one back but you can make a new one.

Create a new page - give it whatever title you want and page slug and save it. Check the ID in 'Manage > Pages' list and then go to the forum options, Admin tab, and enter the new ID and slug.

And all should be well.

It's probably worth giving it the same page slug as the old page just so old links still work correctly etc. - but it;s not essential.

Thanks heaps… on a side issue do you have bomb proof instructions for dummies like me to be able put the last x post titles/excerpts in the sidebars?

download the user guide from the forum plugin page and look at the template tags. May not be one that suits you but there are more coming in V3.

You use template tags in the same way as any plugin or theme…
