- The ony reason I can think of for not getting the add topic form is that you have javascript disabled. Is that the case? Or… are you using an old browser of n unusual brower?
- As stated in the 'known issues' topic this was fixed after 1.4 and I can send you a patch if you wish.
- There is no 'admin screen' when logged into the forum as admin. But when you have topics and posts you do get a set of editing icons.

I am running ie 6 and firefox 2.0 (java enabled and working).
I see the add topic link, and the mouse over changes showing that it is a link, but nothing happens when I click on the link.
Should I try deactivating and reinstalling?

Noticed something. when clicking on the add post, I notice very briefly that the browser is connecting with google anayltics (analytics installed by Google Analyticator plugin. It does that on other links also, I assume to send anayltics data…

Well you could I expect but I doubt it will help.
Do other links do anything - such as the 'Login' or 'Register' - this could be useful to know as if it is narrowed down to just the 'Add Topic' and 'Add Post' icons then the javascript is the culprit.

Well I don't know anything about the Analyticator plugin but it sounds like it might be attaching some javascript to the link and thereby removing or damaging the forum javascript that is already attached. Try disabling it to see if it works without it.

hmmm. it is a conflict with the google analyicator plugin. If I disable it the forum works. If I disable the option to track outbound links the forum works (it doesn't matter whether the plugin puts the tracking code in the header or footer…I'll try and put the tracking code in by hand and see if there is still a conflict and let you know…

Oh this could be difficult to track down!
have you visited the forum admin Options page and updated them? Even if you didn't change anything?
have you defined any moderators?
if you haven't done the first, could you do so to see if that makes any difference?
