Is there a way, an easy method or some sort of hack, to change the order that threads are displayed in? I'd like to have the latests threads appear at the top, not at the bottom. My forums have really taken off, and people are complaining about having to wade in several pages to see the latest stuff.
Thanks,
fnord

yes, you can change the topic sort order or the post order (both allow newest first or oldest first) via the Manage Simple Forum - Manage Options page under the topic and post tabs…

Does anyone have any idea why so many people just do not bother to look through the options for this sort of thing? This is a serious question… me - when I want to find somehting I go to options, help file, whatever material may be avalable but probably 25+% of questions on this forum are answered in this manner.
is there some way I can make the options a more obvious place to look or is it a case of whetaver you do people will still not bother to help themselves?
Anyone have any ideas?

In this case, Andy, I think you have the Manage Options page clearly identified in V3… I think the redundant questions will die down once the new release is out.

Yes - you might have a point there…
