I was wondering if it is a known issue where the forum will just simply not show up when using some WP themes? I'm asking because I had the forum up and working fine but then changed themes and now it won't show up. Just to be safe, I updated the permalinks and checked to make sure the correct ID was being used. I also made sure the theme was using the '<?php wp_head(); ?>' line before the '</head>' tag. Everything is in place far as I can tell and the forum just simply will not show up. When the page loads all I get is the page's title. Are there any other steps to take that I am currently unaware of for troubleshooting and/or are there any other little “gotchas” in a theme's header that might stop the forum from loading properly?
Thank you for your time.

I forgot to mention that if I go back to use my old theme and a few other random themes, the forum loads up fine. It just so happens the theme I was happy with it is not working on.

I have not heard of the forum displaying because of themes, unless the theme page.php file doesnt display a pages content…
please provide a link to your site, so we can take a look…

My site is located here:

Is there anything I should look for within the page.php file to check on this?

Small update: Just noticed that there is no page.php within this theme…

I don't know how to answer this as the ExtJS theme being heavly javascript based seems to do it's own thing.
If your page slug and page ID are corrrectly set and the page itself exists (of course) you might be better off talking to the theme author to see what it is doing with dynamic page content.
If I have tme I will also download a copy of the theme and give it a try. Might uncover something.

Cool, thanks a lot. I have to admit the response to my question was very prompt. Something is very rare these days. I'll go ahead and search a different theme to use but I'll keep my eye on this forum as well as post any new details when I find them.

Well this is giving me a little problem. I have downloaded the theme but WP is refusong to 'see' it claiming that it is broken and lacking a stylesheet and a template…..
Did you have this problem?

Nope, I uploaded it to my host and it worked right away. That is odd that it is unable to find the stylesheet. Although with such an intensive theme I would assume there would be some issues with some plugins. It does use javascript heavily.
Also, did you grab the 1.0 that is floating around online or the 1.0.1 version? I was using the older one until I actually went to his site and grabbed the latest one. Still not able to get the forum to show with it.

That's very strange, I never tried the admin menu's plugin only the theme. I went ahead and grabbed a different theme that I am happy with and the forum works perfectly in this one. So, it shouldn't be an issue for me any longer. It is odd that this theme is not working but hopefully if a fix is found then maybe it could be used for future themes as well. I think it might be better to avoid that theme either way as it does seem like it would be a resource hog. I thank you for your time.
