Support Forum : Quick question about privacy settings

I want to set the privacy level for one of my forum sections so that I’m the only one that can create new topics in that forum, but I want my subscribers to be able to read and reply to my topics.

If I set the Privacy level to Administrator, will they be able to read and reply in that specific forum?

I hate to say this but I don’t think that’s going to be possible. ‘Role privacy’ in 2.1 and below is pretty basic. It’s one of those things that was put in to the system to start getting feedback so that a proper ‘permissions’ system could be developed that met users needs. That system debuts in V3 which is currently starting testing and in which you will most certainly be able to do this.

Unless someone can contradict me of course I think it’s not yet possible.

ah ok, looking forward to V3 then :)

And incase you didn’t know, when you edit the title of a post it doesn’t show the whole title if it has quotation marks in it, like one of my post titles is (Acapella) 50 cent- "Straight To the Bank" and "Ayo Technology"

So when I click ‘edit this topic title’ I only see (Acapella) 50 cent-
