Hi Andy. Thanks for this plugin. It's the best. And I am getting more search engine traffic from the forum when than the blog post when I use the option to create a forum entry.


I was thinking about twitter and thought it would be nice to have an option to ping twitter when a new forum topic was created. I know this is a nice to have. May be someone can create this plugin for us.


BTW1: I am using the twitter tools plugin to tweet post to my twitter acount but it uses prototype js and it SLOWS my blog badly. And I had to stop using it on some of my blogs.


BTW2: For those who are interested I am experimenting using twitter to create a blog.

Well, let me start by saying that as an old, aging dinosaur I usually fail to look at what all these 'buzz-sites' and protocols are so I am going to admit here, publicly, that I don't even know what 'Twitter' is. I am probaby the only one!


However, if you review the progam hooks (see the on-line help), you will see that you have access to one that passes both the content and the post permalink of a new post. This hook is specifically designed to enable users to perform tasks such as pings.
