Just sent an email about this, but thought I'd let you know. My rich text editor for some reason is having a problem opening up windows for links and html code. The windows pop up, seem to load, but are blank.
Also, while we were testing it, we had a bunch of posts to the forum that were deleted. The main page however, still says there are 21 posts even though there is only 1 now. Any way to reset this without completely removing the tables and everything?
Thanks!

i saw this and it worried me. I dont think it's the posts that have gone as they are counted dynamically. It's the topic that has gone. Any chance you can tell what you were doing at the time?
I dont know what to say about the editor. All I have done is included the files and folder structure as it came straight from the TinyMCE people. If it displays the editor then it can't be a path problem. Another worry! And I assume evrything is in the right place.
Perhaps you should try out 1.5 which I can give you a beta of…. And overwrite all the files etc.

We were trying posts, topics, replies from all sorts of users and such. The first page of the Forum (at the highest level) has 1 topic (which is currently correct) and 21 posts (which has 20 more than currently exist). Also, if I display the newest posts on the front page of the forums, it lists 6 posts (5 of which are just blank). So something didn't happen when we deleted all the test posts.
Re the TinyMCE error, happy to try 1.5 if it is ready for testing.

Well the rows must be in the 'sfposts' table. I don't keep a count anywhere - the count is checked against the number of rows when the page displays so they must exist. They may be corrupt or something but they are there. Very worrying… I'll look in to the locking.
That is borne out by the most recent posts list. You're getting blanks. Question is why…
I can send you a 'beta1' of 1.5 happily. You're WordPress 2.1 are you not?

Link is working fine now. I think reloading TinyMCE as part of the 1.5 upgrade did the trick.

By the way - I found some small problems with the delete topic and delete post routines (NOT fixed in the beat I sent you). Small problem - they just donlt remove ev erything they should. I am wondering if this is the cause of your orphaned posts…?
Good news on the editor.

Possibly. I may just go into the database and fix those entries unless you think that unwise.

The final 1.5 will try and do this for you…

Cool. Took a look at the database and all the deleted posts were still there, so I think your catch should fix that going forward on the final 1.5.
By the way, if I might make a suggestion. A slightly bigger font on the descriptions of the Forums might look a bit better. Right now it is pretty small.
Thanks again for all of your help. This has been great!

I noticed how awful the description font looked on IE when I fired it up earlier… on My Mac using Firefox it looks most elegant….

Yea, on a PC it is hard to read in both Firefox and IE (particularly IE).
Doesn't everything look more elegant on a mac?
