Support Forum : SF feels quite slow...

Hi, just installed SF version 2.1 to WP2.2.3. Forum seems to be very, very slow. Other pages/plugins react in a speedy way, but getting SF main page takes a realy long time.

Is there some way to find out why? Or are there known ways to speed it up?

this is not something we have heard often (or maybe at all)… do you have a link to your site we can take a look at… SF has scaled quite well on large sites…

Got same problem.  Just installed it at http://nagoya.csaj-khmer.org/sf-forum/ and i feel it is a little too slow.


Why's that? Or any solution?

Speed and performance are subjective. Mine is slow in the evening when America is awake and hums along nicely in my morning when America is sleeping. It is what it is and it takes the time it needs and there are a large number of factors that determine what that time is. I guess the only real way for it not to be as slow as it is is not to use it.

If only the forum were loading as fast as yours.  I think it's partly because of the hosting server i'm on too.  I expect most of my forum users are based in Cambodia where internet connection is slow and I fear it would take them too long to open the page. 


I'm very sorry if you feel disappointed.  I just wanted to see if there would be good solution i didn't know of.  Again, my apology.  I don't mean no hassle at all.
