First, I love the forum and love how it works on your site.
On my site it does not work that well…. OK here some of the issues:
1) When I create a topic or post a comment I can not see it. I read in this forum it has to do with the wp-cache plugin so I disabled it for now. But while logged in as the admin of the boards I do not see any updates. If I log out I can see all the topics I posted, comments, replys (tests) and can navigate all around. BUT as soon as I log back into the forum I can not see anything. It is loke it all disappeared.
2) I am not getting any emails about new topics or posts.
3) I can not see where to "pin topics"
If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.
The website is http://www.lovemoneypower.com
Thanks

Well first off - it looks really good on your site…. as a user!
This is certainly the first reported instance of this error! And it is somewhat bemusing. Which is sort of saying I'm not sure why it's happening! If anyone couldn't see it you'd think it would be the other way around. OK - let's get serious.
- Can you give me a bit more information please? For example, when logged in as admin I assume you see the forum front page yes? And I assume you see topics as you were able to create them - or do they just not show after you create them? Is it just a completely blank page or do you get the forum structure?
- You wont get emails on new topics/posts that you post yourself as admin. After all, you knew you posted them!
- Well, if you can see the topics and if you have 'Display Topoics/Posts in Edit Mode' checked in the options, you should see a group of icons in the right hand column. The paper clip icon is the one to click on to 'pin' the topic.
Please do let me have more info on what you can and don't see please. By the way, the easiest way to deal with wp-cache is to exclude the url. You can do this just by putting in the page slug.

By the way - what theme is that please? I rather like it…

Ok, Here it goes…
1) When I would "add a new topic" everything would go ok then I would "save the topic" and nothing would appear. It wouldn't be till after I logged out that it appeared.
Example, I just tried adding a new topic called 7777, when I save the new topic, it would take me back to the forum but not show the newly added topic. This would appear after I log out and then when I log back in then I can not see it.
I can see that in the main section it shows that I have 4 topics but when I click to get into the forum it only shows 2 topics… This is where I thought the wp-cache was getting me but even now with the cache deactivated I do not know what it is.
2) LOL.. Thats a good one, I did not even think of that…
Thanks for letting me know about the page slug, would that appear as just sf-forum or do I have to list it as /sf-forum
The theme I am using is called Journalized Beta 2, you can find it here. http://www.zed1.com/journalized/themes/journalized-theme-version-2/
The theme works great and I have not had any problems with plugins.. everything with the theme seems to run smoothly BUT it does has quirks with IE but I hear that alot of themes do at first until you can work out the fixes… LOL, I am still trying to get the theme to look right in IE.

Did you 'de-activate' wp-cache on the plugins page or did you 'disab;e' it on the wp-cache options page?
If you did the first then, as I understand it, you will continue to get pages from the cache because they are there. You can leave it activated but 'disabled' which will refresh the pages. That's the ony thing I can think off except it doesn't explain why you can see stuff when not logged in. But do try that first.
As to rejecting the forum in wp-cache, you don't need any slashes so if you slug is sf-forum then that's all you need to pout in the list.

I originally de-activated it, now I put it to not cache the forum. What I ended up doing is "cleaning" the caches and then cleaning up my computer as netscape started to act funny. After all that, All works fine!!
This is truly a great plugin and I can't wait for the next update.
One more question though, I tried to upload an avatar and it took it but it has not been displayed yet. Do I need to chmod a file in the forum folder? I read about a patch and if you can email it that would be great.
I am using WP 2.1
Thanks a million

Good news. Yes - you will need to open up the permissions on the 'avatars' folder under the plugin folder. They image you put up might not have sufficient permissions to be shown. You shouldn't need the patch but I do hope to release the next version today (if possible) so it would be better to install that.
