FOR THE RECORD: Most fatal errors, memory errors and Check Syntax errors, are in fact caused by server setups or database corruption and by definition are outside the scope of our expertise here at YellowSwordfish.


That being said, there are just some things we can not safely correct.


If you are getting FATAL ERRORS of any type, please check with your sysadmin and database guru before bringing the issues here. We ask this because by the time you have checked your server, or support staff, you will have a more detailed and complete question that we may be able to answer.

This is an error in your Web Server setup and nothing to do with Simple:Press Forum.


To test your system and find absolute perameters for your setup:

Create a file at your http root level called phptest.php (http://mydomain.com/phptest.php)

the file should have only one line:

<?php phpinfo(); ?>


Call this file from your web browser.


Find the location of the user adjustable settings and find the settings for memory.

The most comon location to adjust memory for web services is in ../php5/apachee/php.ini


Make the adjustment to allow more memory for PHP processes, and reboot your web services.
