Support Forum : Incompatable Plugins

In preparation for the release of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.

This thread is for listing specific plugins that are known to be incompatable with SPF.

FeedWordPress


Version: 0.9.9.2 & 0.9.9.3


Symptoms: Fatal error conflict on activation of either plugin


Affects: SPF v 3.0.3, WP 2.3.3, WPMU 1.3.3


Notes: Although FeedWordPress has been known to work with earlier versions of SPF, there appears to be no work around. A quick visit to the plugin author's site reveals that there are conflicts with WordPress version 2.5 and 2.5.1 as well.


Solutions: This is a useful plugin, however we will wait for the WordPress conflicts to be resolved (and perhaps a final release) before suggesting work a rounds.


Replacements: No Other RSS2Post type plugins have been located as a replacement yet.

Contact Form plugins:


Version: Various.


Symptoms: JavaScript errors, Forum Display Errors(Disapearing forums), Post Editing Errors


Affects: SPF v3.0.3


Notes: Large Numbers of Contact Form plugins seem to be based on the same core code which is incompatible with SPF, tinyMCE and/or javascript.


Solution: Replace with Compatable Plugin.


Replacements:

wp-contactform from Douglas Karr which is based on the original work of Rayn Duff.

Google Anayltics Plugin


Version: All


Symptoms: *Undisclosed*


Affects: SPF v3.0.3


Notes: This conflict is not thoroughly documented.


Solution: Copy Google Code into Theme or use alternate SEO plugin.


Replacements: Robots Meta, HeadSpace2, All In One SEO

Customize


Version: Undefined


Symptoms: 'Link to Forums' option which should only apear on the 'Write -> Post' page apears all over the Dashboard.


Affects: SPF 3.0.3, SPF 3.1, SPF 3.1.1


Notes: Not really sure why this plugin has this conflict. Apearance of the 'Link to Forum' is radically random.


Solution: Deactivate Customise plugin


Replacements: Unknown at this time.
