Hi,

I can't seem to upload an avatar through my profile. I'm getting the following error “Avatar Upload Error: Target folder cannot be reached.”

Assuming the “avatars” folder is where the images are uploaded, I changed the permissions but I'm still unable to correct the problem.

First question: When you installed did the 'forum-avatars' folder get created under the 'wp-content' folder correctly? or did you receive a message saying that you would have to do that manually?

Second question: If the folder is there - have to checked permissions which is the other and more usual reason for the problem.

The message is saying that it cannot reach it or find it. That could be because it's not there or because permissions will not allow it.

Hi Andy,

Thank you very much for your help. It appeared to be both. The folder was not there and I had to set the permissions. Thank you very much. I suspected it was due to that as that is often what happens on my server. :) The problem is corrected. Again thank you very much.
