CSS conflict

I realize that this is not a Simple:Press Forum issue but I was wondering if someone could help me. Parts of my forum are not aligning properly and try as I may I can't fix it. My efforts have chnaged it occasionally but not in a way that I would say is an improvement. I am guessing it is a conflict with the wordpress css file.

As well as things not aligning there is also an issue with too much space given to the forum sections.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is one of the most common questions. However, without a link to your forum page there is nothing I can look at. The online help (Theme problems) does indicate the usual things to look for.

I was sure that I had edited my post to put the link in just after I posted it.

Anyway, here is the link.

I did check a post about this problem before but I couldn't find the corresponding problems described in that post.

thats because I dont think its a css conflict… but instead, the old dreaded plugin conflict where some plugin has changed the order of wpautop and its mass replacing \n with  <br />

could you please list the plugins that you are using?  or if you prefer to track it down, disable all your plugins and see if its fixed (I suspect it will be)…  then start enabling them one by one until it breaks…

Mr Papa was right. It was Contact Form 7 that was causing the problem. Thanks a lot guys. I have it working as I want. I will use a different plugin for that page. I was going to change it anyway. I would never have thought about that conflict as they are not even on the same page.

Thanks again.

A plugin content FAQ. Now I should have checked that. I didn't know there was one but I should have found out I guess. I think a part of the reason is that it is hard to think of this forum as a plugin. It's so huge and complex.

Thanks again guys.
