I was wondering if its possible to have Simple:Forums only show a particular Group of forums on a particular wordpress page.

I want to have multiple pages and have each page have a different Group and within each group different forums.

Can this be done with SF?

thanks

Sorry no. SPF needs to be tied to a specific page at all times.

However, it is possible to only show a specific group from a link (via template tags) so you may be able to utilise those in some way.

I dont think i completely understand .. you said “it is possible to only show a specific group from a link” .. what do you mean by “from a link” ?

I want to have 2 Wordpress pages:

WP Page 1: Car Forums -> This will display only the SF Cars Group (and its sub-forums)

WP Page 2: Motorcycle Forums -> This will display only the SF Motorcycle Group (and its sub-forums)

Ill look into the template tags and see if I can get that working..

My situation is i have 2 WP sites running off the same WP install (the 2 sites share content which is why i chose to do it this way) .. i want a seperate forum on each site. any thoughts on how i can go about doing that?

Well as I already said SPF relies on a signle page and only a single page. There is no way around that.

But controlling what appears n the page is more promising.

I would assume you have a LINK on your site somewhere to the forum? Well by using a template tag that link can be made to only show a single group.
