I've really tried it for a while, but cannot make the forum to appear in Spanish ….
I can see the option to make the editor in Spanish, and I can see the Spanish language file ….. but I cannot find where I have to choose Spanish as the language for the forums ….
BTW, they look great !!!!
I already upgraded to the 3.0 in http://hombrelobo.com/foros/ , easier that I expected, all went smooth.
But … where can I change the default language ?
I just read the help file … and it says the configuration of my WP has to be set right …. ok, I have it as es_ES …. and still doesn't work for the forums … the rest is in Spanish ….. any suggestion ?

This is because I am stupid and for that I apologise. In all fairness I was running a temperatire and feeling most unwell when I put the package up for download but that's no excuse.
I have supplied the wrong files.
I will email you the correct file now.

Ahh, well. Thanks.. Now I saw that the files you included in the release was the .po 
I could have opened them in POedit and resaved them.

I am having the same problem for French, although I seem to have the .mo file. The problem appeared when upgrading to WP 2.5.1.
In the admin, “fr” is selected as the language, however, everything seems to be still in English. In the /languages directory, I see sforum-fr_FR.mo and yet . . . no French.
My wp-config.php is set up correctly.

Selecting 'fr' in the forum admin is, as it clearly states, only for the editor language (buttons and tooltips etc).
So - how is the language sertting in your wp-config.php set? That is the only important one.

If you are running 3.0.3 and the file ends '.mo' then you already have the language file. The above comment was for 3.0…

My config is set-up correctly; however, it looks like the problem exists for other plugins too, so the problem isn't simple:press. Thanks anyway!

if you find out it would be interesting to know what the cause is - especially as you say the problem came about when you upgraded to Wp 2.5.1

I've made my own Spanish translation of the forum, is not the best translation… but is better than nothing. If you want I cand send you the .po and the .mo files.

Bad timing! I received a Spanish translation yesterday and just a bit dslow about geting up for download due to other priorities. But thanks for the offer. Sorry it's been so long coming.
