Hey everyone-
I have a similar problem with this. My permalink structure is basically the same (/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/) but when I click on Update Forum Permalink, I get this:
Current Permalink:
ahah error:
404 OK
I'm not sure what is happening or what is going on. As a brief background, I originally had the Permalink Redirect Plugin activated, but deactivated it because only the main forum page would display and saw it as a compatibility issue. It still didn't work, so that's when I tried clicking on the Update Forum Permalink button per the compatibility instructions.
When I click on any of the forum topic links, I get a 404 error.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Best wishes,
Kristen

Yes, i have.
It´s a 404 Error, but i haven´t a 404-Error Page, therefore the Home-Site.
Last I had my Permalink structure changed and activate the mod-rewrite for the Permalink
'/%day%-%monthnum%-%year%/%postname%/'
I need fast help!!!
Thanks!

If you look around on this site you will see we have a few (about 5) users with this problem and am still unable to work out what is wrong although we DO know if has something to do with the way WP does it's permalink rewriting. I am desperate to resolve this but have tried everything I know and I am currently waiting for one of those users to suppky me with some data.
As to other 404 errors these are going to come down to permalinks and/or another plugin that messes with them. Unless your forum 'page' genunely doesn't exist or you have not got the page slug and ID in sync between Wp and the forum.
