Hi
I too had this problem. I looked on the front page of this site and all over, but can't seem to find anywhere that information. I also visited your trac page at Klasen.us, but the wiki and all related stuff is down at the moment.
If an embed how-to is available on the site, could you post the link for us?
Or does Simple:Press work the same way as WordPress when making posts? On WordPress.com the tag is [youtube = yoururl]. Is this how Simple:Press handles YouTube videos?
Same reply as above. Read the online help topic in the 'how to' section.

OH!
Gosh, its just a matter of using the media button on the editor toolbar and setting the sizes.
Sorry about that. Now I feel a bit stupid

I am using forum version 3.1.4 (build 357) on Wordpress version 2.6.2
I follow the online help and try to add youtube video. I see the video appear in the dialog and it looks perfect, and I can preview the video as well before I save the post. On the forum page I see a yellow box with the flash logo in the center, yet when I save the post the video never appears. I view the html and the code for the isn't there. I have tried adding the video while using both IE6 browser and FF 3.0.3. and I don't have success with either.
I have no idea why this should happen I am afraid. I have had no problem nor others - when using the proper dialog.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I just switched to Wordpress default theme, and I also disabled all plugins except the forum and that didn't make a difference either. I still can't post a video.
I just tried to add a yotube video to my post on your forum using the “Insert / edit media” button and media and it is acting the same as on my forum. The video appears in the “Insert / edit media”dialog when I put in the url, I can click on the preview button and the video appears and is playable, and now I will click on “Save New Post” button to see if it works.
It worked perfectly…hmm….a problem on my end, but I don't know where to start looking.
I can post youtube videos on my blog with no problem, but not in the forum on that blog.
what other plugins do you have activated? perhaps a link so we can try?

I'm not sure if plugins are the cause of this.
Are all the other people having this problem using custom themes by any chance? Because I have a feeling that some customization may have an effect on the embed code.
I noticed that my search was a bit funky after I wrote a custom theme. So instead, I just customized one of the existing themes to match and things are working fine there. Something similar may be happening to the embeded videos.
do you mean custom wp theme or custom spf skin? either way, I have custom both with no issue.
I asked about other plugins because they may have filters running on every page that could potentially strip the needed tags. this could be caused by a priority order. just trying to cover all the bases.
