If you are using Wp2.5 then you will find it beow the editor in the advanced options. if an earlier version of Wp then you will find it over on the right

Another question, when I get a PM from another user, it tends to be very narrow, its almost like the text is going vertical…. How can I fix this!

PS! sorry for my bad english, its not my primary language :)

We are still using simple forum 2.1 build 237. we'll upgrade as soon as you release 3.1.

but we just upgraded to wp2.5 this week. on many posts, (almost randomly) when you edit the post it pre-checks the Create Form link and selects the first form category in the list. If you uncheck the box and then publish it will randomly still put the post in the forum. If you then try to undo it and change it to a different forum category, it will override you and put it back to the default.

only solution is to login to the forum as an admin and manually move the post.

never happened even once until we went to 2.5

any ideas?

Initially none whatsoever. This is the first report of this which leads me to suspect that either something else in your setup is the cause and could quite possibly be our old friend - another plugin conflict - or - it is possible that nobody else is running 2.1 on a WP 2.5 and in truth, 2.1 does not have the right code in it for placing a control on the new WP2.5 write post page. The control only appears, if I am not mistaken, because the WP team left a hook in by mistake.

I suspect, sadly, that there is propbably little you can do until moving to the 3 versions.

we are actively awaiting 3.1, as soon as you say go, I'll put it up and see how it goes.

our other weirdness is that nobody seems to register, nobody seems to post. We never have less than 2 guests in the forums, and most days have 5-8 people in at various times of the day, in the evenings up to 12-15.

but almost nobody posts. (http://www.appliance.net/forum/)

We get 50000-60000 unique readers to the site monthly, and at least one comment on a post every day. but almost nobody posts to the forums.

try closing comments on all posts and providing a link to the forums in place of the generic “Comments are closed” message in your template… This should start to migrate users over to the new system.
