How to stop forum topic from changing name of page

I forget what this is called in the documentation, but when I click on a topic, it changes the name of the page in my navigation bar.  So instead of “Forum” in the navigation bar, it says “Forum: General Discussion”.

Because of the specifics of my navigation bar, this disrupts the organization.

Is there a way to turn this option off?  I don't mind going into the code to do it.

check the spf manage options panel…  custom tab… unselect “Show Forum/Topic in Page Title”… its a long standing WP bug…
