Hi Guys,

I'm using version 2.5.1 and I want for all members to be able to upload pics.  Right now some members can upload pics through URL's only but i want them to be able to upload them directly through the forum

I did some research and it says that i must create a folder in WP content.

How do I go about doing something like that? Is there more to it?

Thanks!

Assuming you use ftp to upload your WP plugins and theme files etc., then you should be able to create a new folder/directory with your ftp client tool.

The forum will expect the folder you create to be directly under 'wp-content' - which is the folder that also contains the 'plugins' and 'themes' folder. Once you create your new folder visit Admin > Options > Add-ons tab and put the name of the folder into the field. I called mine 'upload-images' for example.

Then review the permission (Manage Permission) to ensure that all the right people have the ability to upload images. You can only do this using the TinyMCE editor by the way. For those with permission to do so clikcing on the 'image' toolbar button will show a little 'browse' button they can click on to browse the upload location - perform uploads and also include in the post.

And all of this is just really what it says in the on-line help from the forum admin menu!
