Dear YellowSword Fish.

I've tried to find some already discussed topic about this, but invane.

I'd like to have a featuer like the one your forum displys in Home Page, on the ride under RECENT FORUM POST.

I would like to put a widget on my homepage where the latest 4 post are displayed.

How could I do this?

read the online help for the announce tag…  set the options in the spf manage options panel…  use the template tage in your sidebar…

you can either put it into sidebar.php or a text widget that allows you to use php…  really depends on whether you are using widgets or not…  my preferred text widget with php is samsarin php widget…

or you could use the actual widget which should show up in your admin widgets section…

Am I missing something?  I didnt think that widget was an auto updating announce tag widget??  just latest topics…

The widget isn't but he asked for something 'like' this site showing recent posts. The 'announce' tag is a little 'specialised' and the widget is easy to set up….

isnt the one on your home page (which is what he reffered to) the announce tag?  havent looked lately, but it used to be…   btw, like how we hijacked this thread… Tongue out
