Support Forum : "Link to Forum" is gone

In preparation for the release of Simple:Press Version 4.0, the Support Forum has moved to a new site dedicated to the plugin. This will also be the future home for Simple:Press Forum.


Version 3.1.4 will still be available for download here in the short term.

Hi,


i'm not sure why but since yesterday the option “Link to Forum” is missing when i write a new article, is there a checkbox to enable it somewhere (which i could have unchecked?).


I installed 3 Plugins yesterday, tried to disable them, but the option does not came back :-/

Is any of these plugins known to make it disappear?

Forum > Permission Sets > 'can create linked topics'? Is that set to ON for you?

Although if you are the forum/site admin then it should always be there so it may be another plugins fault…

I found my mistake :-/


If Administrators got only “member” permissions, the “Link to Forum” is gone…

Glad you found it and sorted it.

the forum admin (as defined in the forum > Options > Admin tab) should never appear in the user group lists as they are automatically granted full access rights. Other users with wp admin status however, will appear so do need granting the correct permissions.
