Maybe there's not an easy way to do this, but thought I would ask anyway before I started making calls to the database. I've got my wordpress and hence spf embedded within an existing site. I would like to access a users buddy list on a page outside of the forum. Any suggestions?

There WILL be an easy way to do this is if you can wait just a little more for 3.1… the whole area around that sort of user data has been completely re-written in 3.1 and it is now both much more accessible and much, much easier. if you can hold off for a few more days it would be good…
