Login / Registration problem
I've trying to sort out an issue with Simple Press Forum - Version 3.1.2 (Build 340) on a Community Radio Stations' Wordpress based website.
http://www.phonic.fm (http://www.phonic.fm/forum/ direct link to forum )
When anyone tries to login or register with the forum a new page loads and say's:-
Forum
Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.”
When you press “please try again” you are taken back to the 'login/registration page' and then when you enter your details you are taken to the “are you sure you want to do this….. page again.
Any help will be greatly appreciated in fixing this issue.
Thank you, Tony.

You get this with everyone? It used to be intermittent but this is the first I have heard of it happening with everyone.
This was some kind of spurious WP problem with their 'nonce' security which, in my humble opinion, never has worked properly.
It was resolved in Version 3.1.3

Thanks for your reply/post
Yes, as far as I was aware it is happening to anyone who tries to login/register. It happens every time I try it.
Anyway, thanks for the advice. I'll download/install a different/newer version of Simple Press Forum. We are using an older version of WP anyway and that needs updating to. Might as well do both.
Thanks again for you help.
Tony

I've installed Simple:Press Forum - Version 3.1.3 (Build 356) and I'm still having some trouble with the forum.
It's not letting me login and I've also tried to create a new login (with a different user name and email address) and this doesn't work either. It just keeps saying I'm a guest. If I try and post something as a Guest I get this message:-
“Are you sure you want to do this?
Please try again.”
If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.
Thanks, Tony.

one thing to check… go to your wp options - general settings… make sure the wp address and blog address are consistent, especially with regard to the use of www… your domain with www and without it actually use different cookies…
also, it wont help you with your issue, but you should get upgrade to 3.1.4… we fixed a security hole…

Mr Papa, Thanks for your post.
I've now changed the wp & blog address as you explained -ie to http://phonic.fm (no www's) and I've deleted my browser cookies etc (just in case it was that!)
I'm afraid to say I'm still getting the same problem.
Do you have any other suggestions please. Your help is much appreciated.
Tony
(** I've also updated to 3.1.4 - and I'm just doing a complete backup)

(It always come down to operator error in the end! ME)
I can't thank you enough for your support with this.
Best Regards, Tony
