Hi,
I am testing your forum plugin on my Blog and I want to say I am most impressed on the administration side. Excellent work.
I have 2 issue at the moment.
- How can I add my existing blog users to the forum (including my UserID) without asking them to recreate their accounts. I though I would see a list of existing users in MANAGE USER GROUPS –> ADD MEMBERS, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Can you tell me how I can do this?
- This may be related to the first problem, but when I click on any forum I have created through the admin options, I get my default blog 404 page. Presumably, this is because no posts exist as of yet. My thinking was that I must have to at least add one post to each new forum created to make sure the 404 page does not show. Is this the case? My next issue is how can I add the first post to any forum? I am logging on as the blog administrator that I used to install and configure the forum so I thought I would have access to everything. As I said above, this issue may be to do with my Admin user not being assigned to any user groups. Can you please advise?
Thanks in advance.
Pete.

- This is set to change in the forthcoming 3.1 and if you update when that comes along then they should all appear. Currently, users don't appear until thay have actually made a post in the forum. Which does make it a bit difficult I know…
- This is wrong of course. My guess is that you need to update the forum permalink. take a look at the on-line help (Instalation sections) - something in there should be the cause.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the fast reply, much appreciated.
Problem all sorted . You were quite right, it was down to the permalink. The page slug is case sensitive. I had changed the original that was produced by the installation !!
Thanks again.
Pete
P.S. Just made my first post. The forum looks great !! Check it out http://www.pipomatic.com/forum/
